As millions of Americans are making resolutions to make this year better than the last, we are inviting you to improve your home in the new year. There are many ways we can help, but here are a few things to consider when making your home better, be healthier and possibly save more money in the new year.
Healthier Home – Use blackout curtains or a sleep shade to block out artificial light at night. Artificial light suppresses melatonin production, and melatonin production is essential to getting restful sleep.

Better Feeling Home – Swapping out standard incandescent light bulbs, which waste much of their energy as heat, not light, with LED bulbs which can help reduce the need for frequent replacement and energy used.

Save You Money – When you’re going on a trip, or even overnight, try unplugging appliances like lamps, televisions or game consoles which aren’t in use. It may not be on, but if it’s plugged in, it’s still drawing power.
