With the holidays around the corner, Mister Sparky® of San Antonio hopes to put smiles on the faces of children receiving care at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. On Giving Tuesday, Mister Sparky San Antonio announced a plan to collect donations from their customers in the form of toys throughout the month of December. The toys will be given to children that will spend Christmas Day receiving some form of care for an illness or injury.

“Some of these children aren’t able to be at home with their families during the holidays,” said Mister Sparky San Antonio Owner/Operator George Saldaña. “As a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partner, I felt that we could do something that makes their time in The Children’s Hospital a little brighter.”

2016 has been a year of giving back to the San Antonio community for Mister Sparky. In October, the company donated hundreds of pounds in pet supplies to San Antonio Pets Alive! to help bolster the nonprofit’s foster program. For Thanksgiving, Mister Sparky was also able to raise more than $5,000 for Meals on Wheels San Antonio, providing them with 1,000 extra meals for homebound seniors.

“We’ve been a part of the San Antonio community for more than 20 years and it’s important for us to give back,” said Saldaña.

For the previous drives, Mister Sparky waived service fees to customers who donated. Customers will be able do the same when they donate to the toy drive.
